The Power Summit 2025, scheduled to take place on 15th and 16th October 2025 at The Soaltee Hotel, Kathmandu, is the flagship forum aligning with Nepal’s Energy Development Roadmap 2081, hosted under Government patronage (Ministry of Energy, Water Resources & Irrigation) and with India as Country Partner, marks a significant step forward in Nepal’s continued efforts to establish itself as a key regional partner and producer in the clean energy landscape. Organized under the theme “Mission 28,500 MW: Powering Nepal, Energizing the Region,” the summit will align national ambition  of summits that began in 2006 with “Powering Opportunities,” Power Summit 2025 builds on a strong legacy of promoting strategic dialogue, policy advancement, and investment facilitation in Nepal’s energy sector. Each edition has reflected the evolving priorities of the nation from “Harnessing Power” in 2008, to the transformative “10,000 MW in 10 Years” vision in 2016, and the regional outlook of “Powering the Asian Century” in 2019. The most recent summit in 2023, themed “Broadening Green Energy Markets,” highlighted Nepal’s growing role with regional cooperation by aiming to achieve a generation capacity of 28,500 MW by 2035.
